Three very lovely copies of Sir Ryan's Quest came in the mail the other day. They look very nice. Hardcover. Dust jacket. A blazing red interior. I think it just might be the most amazing book ever published.

Also, I created a MySpace.com page with lots of music I made. Check it out!

Here's some art I've been working on recently. Dragons!

[11.27.08]
Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm playing with having some t-shirts made as publicity for the release of Sir Ryan's Quest. What do you think?

[11.22.08]
An early, not-guite-put-together version of Sir Ryan's Quest was sent to my door. It's called an "F and G" which I think stands for "folded" and "gallied." Pretty cool, eh?

[11.06.08]
Guess what! I sold another book today. That means I'm a three hit wonder now. There's lots of wheeling and dealing to do still but it looks like 2009 will be a busy year for me.

It's coming along I think...

[10.21.08]
Check it out! My agent hooked up a spiffy little webpage for me attached to his site:

Big news! I sold a new book today. It's a science book. Only 499 books left to write and I'll tie with Isaac Asimov.

[10.11.08]
I'm hard at work on a new version of my story Behind the Couch.

[09.15.08]
Here's a drawing from a new idea I had. Looping logic and dragons!

[09.01.08]
It's deja vu all over again...again!

[08.30.08]
I'm working on a project that's slightly different than what I've been doing recently. It's a book all about science (cells, atoms, planets, etc.). I'm fired up about it.

[08.15.08]
Hey look! I have an official author's photo for my book and publicity and what not. Actually, I have five. Click on the little images below to see them full size.

[07.18.08]
It's been a busy few days for me recently. I had the proofs of Sir Ryan's Quest for a while but the publisher needed them back so they are gone now. Man, it was exciting to see everything all put together! Also, I finished another draft of a dummy book. I'm very pleased about that. Check out the comparisons below.

I got a new computer too. An iMac. It's very slick but trying to figure it out is making me crazy!!!!

[06.21.08]
I had my first classroom visit as an author/illustrator this week. A lovely little second grade class in Groton.

[06.12.08]
I don't just make children's books. I also make children.

Actually, my wife is in the process of making the baby. But I like to think I helped get things started.

[06.07.08]
The cover for Sir Ryan's Quest is all put together. Check it out!

There are a few more finishing touches to take care of but this is pretty much it.

[05.18.08]
Not much to say. I'm currently working on a book that I've been tinkering with for 3 years.

[04.13.08]
More mud. More to come.

Also, I have to write a mini-biography for the jacket of Sir Ryan's Quest. Not sure what to write. Any ideas?

[03.09.08]
I'm back to work on a few new/old ideas. Here's a few characters that have been inhabiting my brain recently.

[02.23.08]
I went to New York City Thursday to drop off Sir Ryan's Quest. You can see in the picture below how when I held my mighty artwork aloft, the people at Grand Central Station went running, cowering from my powers as an author/illustrator.

[02.16.08]
I'm finally finished with my first book, Sir Ryan's Quest. It happened quietly with no one around to notice except my cat. Just packed up my pencils, gave my cat a few pats on the head, and called it a day.

I'm sort of almost entirely finished with Sir Ryan's Quest. Just some finishing touches and then it's off to the publisher.

[02.02.08]
Happy Groundhog's Day.

[01.31.08]
Ryan in the garage again.

Sorry it's so fuzzy.

Ryan in the garage.

Sorry it's so fuzzy.

[01.23.08]
It's coming along.

And just like before, here's a little comparison to an earlier version:

[01.21.08]
Here's a picture of Sir Ryan's Quest at about 80% completed.

[01.14.08]
More Ryan!

Once upon a time that shot on the left looked a little something like this:

Change is a good thing.

[01.13.08]
Here's a picture of me and some illustrator friends. I'm the one glowing in the luminous red sweater.

I hope no one sues me for using their likeness without permission on the internet.

[01.06.08]
Happy New Year!

Why is this picture so dark? Well, I like to think it's because my artwork is shrouded in a mysterious veil of secrecy. In truth, I just have a junky camera that I don't know how to operate.
