Ryan crawls into a kitchen cupboard one morning and imagines himself an audience with the great king of pots, thus beginning a pint-sized epic of knights and dragons, wizards and warriors.
In his meeting with the king of pots, Ryan is made a knight and sent on a quest. His familiar environs suddenly change into wondrous, textured worlds inhabited by colorful creatures. A closet full of clothes becomes the jungle home of a reclusive mystic. A garage stacked with tools and bicycle parts transforms into a fortress guarded by a steely soldier. And, in the shadows of a dank basement, Sir Ryan finds the lowly lair of an old, ill-tempered dragon.
X"Amusingly elevated language...an artful blend of the
fantastical and familiar...a charming debut with an affectionate,
reassuring ending."

"Imagination lives large in this debut...The dauntless
Ryan’s adventure is sure to be emulated—this is the spark for an
imagination bonfire."

"Sir Ryan," said the king of pots, "you are a brave knight."
In the cave beneath the kingdom, Sir Ryan found a musty monster that wheezed a sour smell.
"Who is this knight," asked a man made of clothes who hung from the branches overhead.
